Founded by Director Maria Newstrom, Innate Architecture + Design is an RIBA Chartered Practice committed to providing our clients with the best possible design solutions and advice for their building projects.
Maria is an RIBA Chartered Architect with ten years of experience working in London architectural practices, designing everything from shopping centres and cafes to blocks of flats and single family homes. She is particularly well-versed in the nuances of the planning system, successfully gaining many planning, listed building and change of use consents.
In addition to practicing architecture, Maria is a Recognised Practitioner in Urban Design as well as a BREEAM and LEED Accredited Professional, reflecting her passion for well-integrated and sustainable design.
Having relocated to West Kent from London in 2018, Maria is now embracing the charm of a more rural life. She has spent her free time renovating her own home over the past four years, creating a family home to fit her new lifestyle. She loves exploring the southeast and its villages, taking in their architectural character and the local vernacular to integrate into her modern and efficient buildings.

CENTRAL WAY, OXTED
2022
Innate obtained planning consent and worked with Stokeswood Construction to deliver this project that provides a garage conversion, kitchen/dining extension and new first floor master suite extension. The design reconfigured the ground floor of this family home to create spaces that fit the scale and flow that this young family needs as they grow into their home.
